Does a video really need to be professionally produced?
While many people can produce a video without the help of a professional, it is not as easy as it might seem. Know that there is a significant difference between shooting home videos for family and friends and creating a professional video that you want to post for thousands to see on your website. In order to secure high quality, you will need microphones and lighting kits not to mention a professional video camera. After a video is shot, editing can definitely make or break a video. Professional graphics, music and conversion of your video to the right format is necessary.
How long does it take to complete a few videos?
From our experience, the answer really depends on a few factors: how long the video will be, how many people are involved, and if there are factors that we might not control (i.e. weather). Sometimes a video can be completed in one take but if there are multiple people involved, it generally will take longer. On average, we estimate 2–4 hours for 3–5 videos. If it is a 30 second commercial, count on a ½ day shoot.
